Zen Circle Minis are whimsically sized, original ink paintings that come framed and ready to hang in a 5 x 5" square frame (4 x 4" opening). They are made with highly reflective, sparkly gold ink that catch the light and almost appear to "flicker" or "glow" when you pass by or shift your viewing angle. Painted on elegant, limited edition, midnight-blue matting with sliver threads woven through it. This is surplus material from another project, and a personal favorite, but when it runs out, there will not be any more. So get it while you can! Perfect focal point in a contemplative corner, at home or in the office. Just one is eye-catching enough, but they are small enough that it is also fun to arrange several (try 3 in a row or stacked in a column, for example; or go big, with 9 in a perfect grid; the possibilities are endless). No two circles will be exactly alike and that is in fact the beauty of them. Seal is a mood seal that reads "Tranquility," as that is what these little pieces should evoke.

The enso – Japanese for “circle – is a circle that is hand-painted in one or two uninhibited brushstrokes to express a moment when the mind is free to let the body create. It is a demonstration of strength and elegance, as well as a symbol of infinity – the Universe, as well as the Void. To paint the enso is to be in a perfect meditative state; to contemplate it is to pursue enlightenment.
