Wild horses are unfettered and free, and so, too, do they invite you to be: to tap into your own inner Wild One. This does not necessarily mean bucking societal norms or mores, but rather the limiting narratives you may have told yourself in the past about who you are and are not, what you can and cannot do. These limiting self-narratives do not serve you anymore. Break free and embrace your true, higher self.

Horses invite a true meeting of the physical, mental and spiritual planes. On the one hand, they represent speed and stamina - or perseverance. Can you feel the thrill of the wind whipping through your mane, while your hooves pound powerfully toward your heart's desires? Can you feel the strength of your breath, the ripple of your muscle, and the unwavering certainty that you are headed toward your truest goals? Lean into that. Fall deep into your own body, and listen to what it needs. Your life experience is at least as much physical as anything else. Revel in it.

On the other hand, look into a horse’s eye and know its capacity for intelligence and compassion. Horses invite you to prioritize self-love and -compassion, and to witness how one’s inner state impacts the way they see and judge the world around them A person who has a strong practice of self-love will soften toward the world. Healing overflows, and causes ripple effects that might astound us if we ever knew them.

Finally, horses are deeply intuitive animals and when you suffer from lack of clarity on an issue, either large or small, they can lead the way through the murkiest forests of your mind. Surrender to them, and trust that they will soon lead you to the clearing, where you can stretch your legs and run, always in the right direction.

Original artwork only, and painted to order, this piece is available in medium (roughly 12.5 x 26in) and large (roughly 18.5 x 38in) sizes; and either backed and ready for your own custom framing (on elegant gold-fleck shuen paper), or painted directly on a silk brocade hanging wall scroll, ready to hang straight from the box.

The medium scroll, containing the standard size painting, measures 39.5 x 19.5 inches.  Color is an antique gray background with brown brocade. The large scroll (shown in the later pictures) measures 59.5 x 23.5 inches. Color for the large scroll is usually either antique gold background with blue brocade, or silver, depending on my supplier (please contact me to find out what large scroll colors are available). All scrolls are neutral from afar and complement any interior wall color and decor.

Scrolls are hand-crafted of the finest materials - silk brocade, wooden rods, and rice paper - and are convenient to handle, store and hang.
