Every Day is a Good Day
Every Day is a Good Day
In trying times it's good to remember that "Every day is a good day." Rather than being an annoying platitude just meant to niggle you in your discontent, however, in Zen philosophy this phrase more closely resembles the observation from the American poet, Mary Oliver, that "willingness is next to godliness." It means that you receive what life has to give you with an open heart, whether it brings joy or pain, knowing that all of it brings you closer to your highest calling.
Or in the words of another Western poet, Rainer Maria Rilke: “Let everything happen to you / Beauty and terror / Just keep going / No feeling is final”
Painted to order on elegant gold-fleck shuen paper, this piece measures a convenient and standard size 10 x 20in and comes backed and mounted on mulberry paper, ready for framing by the customer.
