The character on this piece literally reads "nourish" or "cultivate," but like many things, is best grasped intuitively.  When we feed our souls with the things that delight us - our passions, our curiosity, our relationships, our spirituality, whatever it is that makes us enter into our “flow” where time and judgments of “good” or “bad” no longer exist - the fire or light within us grows. And the thing about fire is that it chases away the chill of a new dawn (which is really what any change, big or small, exciting or frightening is, isn't it?). Nourish yourself in challenging times.
